  RCIA

HAVE YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW NOT RECEIVED THE SACRAMENTS OF HOLY COMMUNION AND/OR CONFIRMATION? OR IS THERE SOMEONE YOU KNOW WHO WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A CATHOLIC?
You might like to know about RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation. RCIA is primarily a journey of faith in discovering one's relationship with God and understanding of the Church through prayer, reflecting upon the gospels, and catechesis. It is also a beautiful process where people can receive their sacraments and become fully initiated into the Catholic Church. If you are interested in or if you have any questions about RCIA please contact Deacon Marvin Bearis through the church @ (781) 326-0550 or email @ mb96cap@yahoo.com.

  Calling

Do you feel called to be a Eucharistic Minister to the sick and homebound? Please call Sr. Barbara Lavin at 781-326-0550 X39. This is a very humbling and rewarding ministry. Training is provided for anyone interested.

  Edge/LifeTeen

Middle School Youth Ministry

THIS WEEK @ EDGE
Last Wednesday, we had a wonderful opening night of the Edge. As it was our 5th year, there was a "Kindergarten" theme to the night, full of games and activities that brought us back to being young. The Sing-A-Long portion of the night was truly amazing as nearly 200 middle schoolers sang aloud to Christian music!

We begin our new semester topic on PRAYER this coming Wednesday, October 8th as we cover "Sacred Scripture."

We ask that all parents make sure their children are registered by this week as all kids will be placed in small groups as they enter the hall.
You can download a form from the website or pick one up at the Parish Center.

THANK YOU!
Last weekend, we held two events that were largely successful in helping others! Our SLEEP OUT that had to be held inside due to the weather was a time of awareness for the teens. Tom Clinton from the Dedham Youth Commission and Lindsey from the Dedham Food Pantry were present to speak to the needs of the town. We were also blessed to have two speakers who were residents of the Boston Rescue Mission on Kingston St. share their stories of homelessness with us. We thank them for their time! We were able to collect a box full of items for the Dedham Food Pantry as well as raised nearly $1200 for an organization in Dedham. Our Give It Away Now Life Night last week was a great success with collecting nearly 3,000 pounds of clothing for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. We were graced by Tim Kelleher & Allan Praught, members of the St. Mary's Chapter, to speak to the teens on the Society. These two events helped in making us all more aware of the needs in our town to reach out to those who are most in need.
